It all begins with the placement of a singular dot; the structure of the entire painting. The dot navigates where all movement leads to or from. It represents a singular moment in time, a person, a memory, a touch, a look, the beginning, the end, the point where everything changed. This form is the seed from which everything grows.

Complex structures that direct our lives are then represented through bold color, organic shapes and a series movements. Creating each unique pattern produces a language beyond words. Void of images and symbols, the artwork aims to guide the audience to connect through introspection and disconnect from overstimulation. 

Born and raised in Los Angeles, Tatiana Sanchez draws inspiration from nature, patterns and connection. She graduated from California State University of Long Beach with a BFA in Illustration (2020). Sanchez uses her knowledge of illustration, design, painting and printmaking to drive her works.
